READ: Members still violating the rules
outie - 3-23-2004 at 10:50 PM

Check this thread once in a while to see if your username is in it. If it is, please read the rules.

The following members need to review the rules located here
--------------------------------------------------
fobboyray
natec
--------------------------------------------------

Banned:
--------------------------------------------------
rx105 (lol my ass, go away)
HanJun
truMp
chengdey
homsuplo (no respect to site and owner)
Penny
Hey
--------------------------------------------------

I will ban these members if they still don't read the rules. There is zero tolerance. Don't ask me to unban or anything. You have been warned.

If you are banned, don't bother to register again using a different IP. It's meaningless to stay at a site that doesn't welcome you.

eraser_rx - 3-24-2004 at 05:57 AM

will it be a good idea if you include the link to the rules in the first post???

thank you for your consideration....:%

rene02rene - 3-24-2004 at 06:28 AM

Isn't money the main source of problem ? I am talking about the forum, not in general life.

I mean, newbie come here, sign on, then they see they can go to the market to buy pics, etc... so they need money, and they go to gamble, but loose... so they post a lot of smileys-only or 'I agree' single post, to increase their capital...

Am I not correct ?

4th jinn - 3-24-2004 at 10:11 AM

im a noob (been here since the 20th) and i dont do that, so altho it might be true for sum, u cant generalise.

outie - 3-24-2004 at 10:51 AM

You know there a lot of people got used to unrestricted forums. Generally when they see a funny post they go "lol" or "nice". A lot of Chinese forums that have porn pics or whatever always say "reply or no more pics posted!" so they reply one worders to show "support". Well, it became a habbit. Money is not the source of the problem. Most noobs don't even know what money/market are.

VaCUm - 3-24-2004 at 11:50 AM

I like forums with rules. All of the forums that i visit have rules. All of my own forums have rules...

4th jinn - 3-24-2004 at 01:29 PM

come to think of it, its prob the case that most new memebrs just become memebers to access teh restricted sections, coz if u look at the percentage of memebers who have posted, its sumthing like 30%. they really dont give a shit about wats going on. so at most they'll say "wow", or "hot" or ":P". my two cents.

GeneralX - 3-24-2004 at 05:40 PM

is the ban permanent or temporary?
if it's permanent, i guess it's no use, they might just create a new account anyway

outie - 3-24-2004 at 06:16 PM

Perm. perm ban with IP mask. No new account.

rene02rene - 3-25-2004 at 01:24 AM

Like the rules as well.

Sorry it is true I can not generalize... some newbies do not do that.

4th jinn - 3-27-2004 at 07:11 AM

thanks rene. its all good. smart move on the ip mask.

n-tone - 3-31-2004 at 01:57 PM

woo~ tight! but i like it :) cuz junk post is not welcomed here! outie.net means sophistication, with thoughts and insights :P come on new members, post when you got something to say, but not merely an expression like : LOL, hot...etc

happy browsing! :D

nyoneway - 4-7-2004 at 06:45 AM

we know we know, what do you want to do then? ban every ip? there's always a way around everything..

outie - 4-11-2004 at 12:01 AM

I am not even trying to prevent people from posting/viewing or something. I just want them to be aware that this site has certain guidelines that need to be followed. When one is banned whose lost is it? Not mine, not yours, no one. So, if you are banned, why bother to get around it and force yourself to view this forum that didn't welcome you? Go on with your life.

akz - 4-11-2004 at 11:34 AM

lol, outie there are so many assholes online. They have no life u ban them they want to get even lol its like irc u ban them they would spend 3-4 hours trying to get back into your channel either with a bnc or whatever to flame you rather than just joining another channel and forgetting about it .. lol ces la vie :(

oneU - 4-12-2004 at 03:18 PM

Hi all :) .....
Can't you make something like a FAQ.... like how the Market thing works??? and how to get money to purchase stuff from the Market... I still don't know how the system works hehehe....
Ok and I don't really post a lot :p

Owwwww I see..... so when you post something you receive $20 for the market.... What do you get when you open a topic with a lot of pictures and Information... also 20$???

outie - 4-14-2004 at 01:16 PM

Opening a new topic will earn you $30, with or without pictures. Since each post allows up to 4 pics only, one needs to reply itself to post more pictures. In that case, it's $20 for the subsequent replies.

I will probably make a FAQ when I have time.

Ganja514 - 4-29-2004 at 12:48 PM

:fu: :fu2: go ahead and ban me :fu2:

outie - 4-30-2004 at 08:42 PM

heh doesn't this guy deserve a ban? I am pretty sure he clicked "I agree" to the rules when he registered.

Don't give me attitude, loser.

Chi - 4-30-2004 at 09:25 PM

he's asking for it, why not

do we get a warning when we are on this list? cause i bet ppl dont check this out that often

outie - 4-30-2004 at 09:38 PM

Those who violate the rules constantly will receive a PM from me with a link to this thread. If one continues to violate the rules after the PM is read, I will ban him.

Those who violate the rules rarely are generally fine.

You probably belong to the IP range that I banned.

mwahaha - 5-31-2004 at 09:30 PM

hmm juz joined only..was a little surprised to find tat there seems to be so many rules here..but then again i'm not very used to forums as a whole.. so in short we're supposed to gain $$ with more posts..but pple abuse this system by posting short inconsequential messages?and this in turn is against the rules becos this being a forum there ought to be more interaction among the members...so this means watever message we post must be indicative of some insight?but surely an occasional short "i dun like tat" or "i agree with u blablablah" can be accepted?

outie - 6-1-2004 at 01:44 AM

First of all, money is NOT important. Most, but not all, new members post short messages just for the hell out of it. They are used to other forums where ANY replies are encouraged. I really can't stand people replying with one smiley and reply AGAIN with a "cool" or "nice" (trust me, I've deleted tons of them).

I understand a forum should be very interactive. I prefer people reply with some insights instead of "I agree" or "I disagree" or "I like it" etc. I mean, who really wants to read replies like those? They are all junks.

Like I mentioned many times before, if one does not have something useful/meaningful to say, just save it. I really don't need him/her to "participate" by posting junks.

rene02rene - 6-1-2004 at 03:10 AM

Maybe you should give new members 500$ to start with. When a newbie joins and see he can buy some XXX videos and pics, he wants to get enough money for that.

outie - 6-1-2004 at 10:40 AM

I gave 100 out before. Guess what? Some people registered again when they used up the money.

mwahaha - 6-2-2004 at 05:14 PM

uh-oh..so scheming ah..no wonder u dun like such lame attempts to get $$..but guess in every system there's a way to abuse it..for example i'm sure u can make several accounts and start posting new topics here and there...enuff to make a lil $$ but not enuff to arouse admin attention..well juz my two cents worth..

enishiyukishiro - 7-19-2004 at 05:30 PM

haha ok.. but wat if ppl dont know how to write in english? or just dont know how to express  they cant "lol", "hot" so wat do they do in order to get money to dl stuff in the market?

It is not my concern when they can't express their comments in english. It is also not my concern when they can't d/l anything from the market.

You can start new threads that has good contents such as some very nice pictures or some very funny video.

Or you can sell some files in the Market.

Posting replies is probably not one of the options.

Your opinions probably don't suck. They are probably meaningless or they contribute nothing to the topic.

dcruise - 12-11-2004 at 03:04 PM

wait y dont my post stay on teh site

chinatown - 12-11-2004 at 04:17 PM

no wonder my $ is always so low:D Now I think I know...anyway I'm glad I'm not on the list.......like I care;)

Pulver - 12-11-2004 at 04:30 PM

How about lower the $$ gained on regular messages (replys) to like 1$.

But on the other hand i guess that could lead to more crap-threads.

accordx97 - 1-24-2005 at 05:07 AM

im not really a newbie because i signed up long time ago, but i've just recently started to actually participate in outtie.net. Its an interesting experience. I have to agree, i want to make more money because ive found out that you can buy "THINGS" from this website with that money and in that effort to gain more money, i corrupt the site, that is the nature of effort, destruction. But, my destructions comes rewards, creations.

I feel sometimes the rules will piss certain people off and they will react negatively to it and hence the backlash, bad comments, and etc. Ex: i try to make some money by replying, but staying within the rules, but the judgement of what is interesting, what is not interesting is up to the moderator or the higher up individuals with power on this site. And, since i wanted to make some money, i posted replies, only replies, because thats all i know how to do right now. Im not good with starting a thread, posting a file for people to share, html, bb code (whatever that is), selling items, files, music, bittorents, game, etc. BUT, i wish to learn and do it eventually because that will provide more money for me.

anyways..its late thats all i have to say right now..=)
