outie fantasy basketball season 8???

yahoo fantasy basketball is now available!

will we be continuing our tradition?

for those who don't know what it is,

basically, everyone who joins will have a blank team, and will assume semi-GM responsibilities.
we then take turns drafting NBA players, which will make up your team.

then on the days they actually play (in real life), you can decide to play the player, or sit him on the bench.

every stat the player gains when you play him is recorded throughout the week.

at the end of the week, the user whose team produced the better stats (FG%, FT%, total points, total rebounds, etc), wins.

warning: it's (usually) rather competitive - so a few minutes per week commitment to set your roster is needed :P

if that didn't deter you, then you can PM the eventual GM for an invite (once the league is set up) (usually QQ).

I missed last year's. But I'm good for this year.

and wow it's been 8 years!!

There is also an app for it as well so u can edit lineups pretty much anywhere with your phone as long as u have data/wifi connection.

I'm setting one up as well with 3 friends from HK... so far draft time for that one is 9:30am EST Friday 18th..
Weird draft time for us in north america, but for them it's night and that is when they are free and I am free this friday myself.

Anyone else available for friday morning draft (tomorrow) let me know with e-mail address so I can send invite. If not I'll publish the league so random ppl can join.

I have a ballgame 7:30-9:30 but I'll try to be back on time.

Also anyone who logs in to the draft.. if u go AFK remember to click the autodraft so we won't have to wait for the whole countdown. And do pre-draft rankings if u have time.

Also there is a mock draft that u can practice on too... which is fun and gives u an idea who will be available at what pick.
