Following the blockbuster success of Marriage with a Fool and Love is Not All Around, director Patrick Kong returns with his latest essay on young
love and its many deceptive turns. Screen couple Stephy Tang and Alex Fong are joined by Taiwanese beauty Alice Tzeng from Secret for an entertaining,
engaging, and surprisingly affecting look at romance, betrayal, and redemption in modern-day Hong Kong. Like Love is Not All Around, L For Love, Love
For Lies makes use of a sweeping multi-thread storyline that curls around the interrelated lives of photogenic young urbanites as they navigate the
minefields of love. Many Love is Not All Around players are back in the game including Gold Label artists Miki Yeung and Terry Hu and television
starlets Leila Tong and Linda Chung, along with TVB actor Stephen Wong Ka Lok in his film debut. Prepare for plenty of name-dropping as the film
features supporting appearances from Wu Jing, William So, Sammy Leung, and a veritable laundry list of TVB artists.
Seemingly the perfect couple, naive girl-next-door Bobo (Stephy Tang) and mild-mannered Chun (Wong Ka Lok) happily run a dessert shop together and are
saving up for marriage. Both love and friendship turn sour, however, when Bobo's conniving friend Kiki (Alice Tzeng) willfully steals Chun away.
Angry and heartbroken, Bobo hires conman Henry (Alex Fong) to give Kiki a taste of her own medicine. Despite the warnings of her friend Mon (Leila
Tong), who is nursing a problematic relationship of her own, Bobo chooses to wholeheartedly believe Henry who seems like a decent guy beneath his
dubious profession. Soon the buds of romance begin to bloom for Bobo and Henry, but that only ushers in a new round of love and lies.
borrrrringgggggg go on tvb.com and check out their interviews... its the same thing as the previous ones... sigh... but... arent alex and stephy
"really" dating in HK? or its just pure rumors still?
just watched it right now. thought it would be kinda boring like hte first two always the same thing but its different and surprised me actually. it
has a decent storyline with couple of twists that actually require some effort to understand!
pretty good movie for a stephy/alex movie.
also very sad!
